Anyone know of a good CANDLE MAKING Book?

Published by Christina under Candle Making

I have recently decided to start making candles, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good candlemaking book, and if anyone had some “what they don’t tell ya” advice to give about candle making!??

Thanks!

The “Everything Candlemaking Book” is pretty good. I would start at my local library and see what else they have.

    Good luck

I started making candles a few years ago and now i run my own small business making them. I didn’t know anything about it at the time. Books are a great tool and i would say the library is a great place to start due to the fact that they don’t cost you anything to get them there. I use gel-wax because I find it can hold more scent, burn longer, and looks better. (to me) Gel-wax can open up a lot more design doors for you as well. Hobby stores such as Hobbie lobby, and michael’s have a few books.
If you have any questions you can contact me and you can see some of my candle art at http://www.myspace.com/that_smells_good and you can also see more on here http://www.Thatsmellsgood.etsy.com . If you go to a hobby store don’t let them talk you into buying too much to start old pots and pans or coffee cans will do the job of melting the wax just fine.
