How to Install an Iron Wall Candle Holder

Candlesticks iron wall have been around for thousands of years. They date from the time where the medieval wall sconces were used for lighting in the corridors of castles. Today, these charming pieces decorative art are used to add warmth and tranquility of the room whose walls embellish.

In order to install these types candles, you must first know the circumstances of the room where they hang. Another good idea is to determine how high on the walls as you want placing such holders. If children are part of your household, you may want to place these holders above the reach of children.

Once you know whether you want or do not want a glass covering your candle and exactly how high you want your media on your walls, the next thing is to measure each wall for the placement candle wall. Depending on the number of candles you wish to place on each wall with a tape measure, measure how high on the wall that you want to place them. I suggest measure the distance between the floor and the wall and mark the wall at the proper height with a pencil. Continue about 12 inches more from your mark the first wall and repeat this procedure. Now you have 2 pencil marks on the wall at the same height of about 12 inches.

Then, measure the width of the wall at the same height as you've put the last 2 pencil marks up and write the width measurement on a piece of paper. Once you know what is the distance of each owner will then, with a tape measure, mark the wall with a pencil point on each place the chandelier will hang on the wall.

If you put iron wall sconces along sides of wall art or a mirror on the wall, then you need to do is measure how far the left and right image we will place each holder. With your tape measure to go on the left and right parietal art (or wall mirror) and measure from the edge of art outwards on both sides. Make sure your flight measurements on the two sides are identical. Repeat this step again two sides, but this time go from about 8 inches above or below your first marks on both sides of your wall decor (and walls mirror).

Now, using the points you have 2 Pencil on both sides of the wall of your art, your line of tape measure from the floor along the wall using points 2 pencil as a guide for a straight line and mark a point in pencil on the wall exactly how high you want to hang your chandelier. Repeat this procedure on the other side of the wall art and you will have the same spacing for your candlesticks on either side of art wall (or wall mirror).

Iron wall candleholders are not small. To block these owners safely, you must use what is known as an anchor wall. Remember, never attempt to hang a wall holder iron candle with a screw directly into drywall or plaster walls. It just will not bear the weight.

Ankles are small devices that are placed in the wall at the same place a screw would be held in up these types of wall plugs. By using a wall anchor that you can hold heavy items such as candles, thick-walled tightly to the wall without having to worry about the device spread of the wall and finally fall on the wall.

Bolts come in different styles and sizes to fit different with respect to size that goes in after the anchor has been placed in the wall. My favorite wall anchor to hang wall sconces resembling a screw Plastic Short Stubby with a screw hole in the center.

This anchor is easy to install. All you have to do is drill a small hole (about half the diameter of the ankle), where you want the screw to hold your candle on the wall. After drilling a small hole, all you have to do is a screw in the anchor in the little hole you just drilled until it is flush with the wall. Repeat this procedure for all necessary screws to mount your wall bracket iron candle. When you have inserted all anchors needed to mount your candle on the wall, then you simply hold the candle wall positioned over the anchors and proceed to screw your support to the wall. Simple as that and rest assured that your candle holder is on the wall safely.

Iron wall candleholders are works of art that come in different shapes and sizes. They add to the feeling of overall comfort of any room in which they are placed on the wall. With a little effort you can add these to several rooms of your home and enjoy a simple touch but nice art handed down through the centuries.

Remove candle wax from silver candleholders?

Done anyone know a quick and easy way to remove candle wax from candle holders silver without damaging them?

Everything First, try the freezer method to crack off the majority of the wax hardened. All that remains can be removed with hot water on a cloth. Do not dive or put the candle holders in a dishwasher! Many bases are candleholders filled with plaster of Paris for the weights, and it will dissolve if soaked in water. If the wax is white, a little residue is a good thing to help keep the silver from tarnishing.
