Can I convert a pound cake in terms chocolate cake?
I sent a pound cake to Iraq in 2 cake pans disposable diaper. He arrived perfect. Now, one guy wants have a chocolate cake. I wonder if it will stay the same sound as an ordinary book cake.I do not want to go to pieces. Is it known.
Make chocolate cake book. Here is a good recipe. Chocolate Pound Cake 3 cups white sugar 5 eggs, separated 3 cups flour 1 / 2 c. baking powder 1 / 2 c. 1 teaspoon salt / 2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder / 2 tsp teaspoon cinnamon 1 1 1 / 4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 / 2 c. tsp almond extract Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a loaf of 10-inches. Mix the butter and shortening until fluffy, then gradually add sugar. Mix well, then add the egg yolks slowly. Beat after each egg yolk. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, cocoa and cinnamon. Add the dry mixture the creamed mixture, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry mixture. Mix well after each addition. Add vanilla and flavors almond. In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Stir into batter. Pour into dish. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean).

Watched Pirate 2 last night, and got lost. Can somone kindly clarify some plot for me.
1. Jack stored Davy Jones’s heart in his jar. When he dumped the dirt out, the heart was gone. Who took the heart? I know whoever possesses the heart controls Jones. Who controls Jones at the very end? who has the heart?
2. Did the giant octopus eat Jack? I didn’t see him coming back from its mouth
3. Why Elizebeth locked Jack up on the ship?
4. Jack, Will Turner and another guy were sword fighting. Who was the “other guy”.. Why were they fighting? Were they fighting for the chest and the key?

1: Commander Norrington took the heart. Remember the man from the first movie that’s in love with Elizabeth, even though she loves Will? That’s him. At the end, Norrington gave the heart to the creepy guy from the East India Trading Company. Can’t remember his name.
2: Yes, but, remember, that’s how Davy Jones gets the pirates to work on his ship, I think. The Krakken eats them, semi-digests them, and then sends them to Davy. But then that leaves open the idea that Jack is still alive, even though, technically, we didn’t see him die. We only saw him walk into the creature.
3: Because the Krakken was after him, not her and the others. She figured that, if Jack stayed with the Pearl, then the monster would leave them alone and they would be out of danger, since they owe Davy Jones nothing.
4: Once again, it was Commander Norrington. Jack was fighting Norrington because Norrington thought that Jack ruined his life the day he escaped. But then he turned it around and made Will responsible for taking Elizabeth away from Norrington, so that’s why Will and Norrington were fighting. And Will and Jack were fighting because Jack sent Will onto Davy Jones’ ship, trying to give him up so he could live. But all three were fighting over the key, it kept going around between them.

PERFECT APPLE pie: 3 / 4 cup cake flour 1 3 / 4 cups all purpose flour little one v. teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon sugar 4 tablespoons lard soup Crisco shortening large pinch Rumford baking powder 1 tablespoon tablespoons buttermilk powder or 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar ADDED TO: 5-7 tablespoons ice water over a stick 1 / 3 stick butter, jelly filling in advance: 10 apples, peeled and thinly sliced 1 / 2 cup white sugar 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons tablespoons brown sugar 1 / 2 ginger powder 1 / 4 c. tsp nutmeg 1 / 2 teaspoon cinnamon pinch of mace (optional) sprinkle of vanilla the lemon juice flour, cornstarch or arrowroot for thickening Preheat oven to 400 ° F, then reduce to 375 ° F after pie is in oven. Mix dry ingredients. Mix Crisco and lard in metal bowl. Sprinkle with flour mixture. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Remove pieces of butter from freezer and cut into 1 / 2 inch. Add to bowl. Unroll and place the top crust, fluting edges to seal tightly and creating several vent holes to allow steam to escape. Brush top crust with a mixture of egg white and a tablespoon of water or with a little cream. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sugar. Variant: A method of manufacturing a cozy base for your apple pie, is to peel some apples, placing the skins, carrots, lemon zest, cinnamon, ginger and grated fresh, in a saucepan with the sugar and the half-cup water or apple juice. Simmer over low heat for about one hour and strain, reserving the liquid. Thicken 1 / 2 cup of strained liquid with 1-2 v. teaspoon cornstarch or arrowroot and cool. Add 1 / 4 v. teaspoon vanilla, the sliced and peeled apples, and pour into pie shell. It is a nice alternative when you do not mingle with Cortland's grandmother smiths because it keeps the pie to be too dry. The liquid is enough for a 10-inch pie about 4 inches in height at the center. Adjust according to your pie size. Bake about 45 minutes, or until that the crust is golden. I found that freshly grated ginger much improves the flavor of the type of land in this recipe.
